Rovers Expect a Good Play despite Handicap

HOCKEY: Catherine Stabb will step up to the plate today when Frenchville faces off with Southside in round 17 of the Rockhampton hockey competition.

Rockhampton's A-one Women's hockey teams will draw inspiration from their Olympic idols today when they hit the fields at Kalka Shades.

The Frenchville Rovers are set to clash with Southside, and Rovers coach Daniel Rumpf said he is expecting Catherine Stabb to fill a key forward position and prove herself on the field.

Rumpf said that despite the side missing some key players, the team was looking good going into today's game.

Along with Stabb, Rumpf said the pressure's on back Sarah Collins with the team missing their key full back player, and she expects Melanie Gibbins to guide the team to victory. …
