Olympics 2012 BBC Television Cycling With London on lockdown and cars banished to the outer edges of the North Circular thanks to the Games, cycling is the only way to really get around. Luckily we have an unrivalled ambassador on two wheeels in the form of Sir Chris Hoy. Before Bradley Wiggins had the country donning Lycra and sideburns in support of his heroics in the Tour de France, Hoy, pictured right, was winning gold medals galore at the Beijing Olympics in 2008. Let's be honest all colours, creeds and genders love a bit of His Royal Hoyness. Tonight sees the men's team sprint final, with Hoy leading the team. Four years ago he led us to glory in this event and we're hoping for a repeat performance.

BBC 2, 6pm-7pm Swimming Having won a record 19th Olympic medal with gold in the 4x200 freestyle relay on Tuesday night, Michael Phelps has a chance of more medals in the 200m medley final. Once again, however, he must fend off the challenge of Ryan Lochte, his great rival from the US, who holds the world record for the event. …
