Homicide detectives are working to identify four suspects in a fatal shooting Tuesday night in a Northwest Jacksonville apartment complex.

Shortly before midnight, police were dispatched to Moncrief Village Apartments on Moncrief Village Street, where rescue personnel were treating a man with multiple gunshot wounds, said Sgt. Shawn Coarsey. The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses said the victim was outside one of the buildings talking with four men when an argument began. They said two of the men drew guns and opened fire. The witnesses said the men left in a black car.

The Sheriff's Office later identified the victim as 22-year-old Antonio Bernard Mosely, who lived in the vicinity.

MAN FOUND DEAD IS IDENTIFIED AS TRANSIENT

A man found killed Monday morning behind a law office parking lot at 255 E. Liberty St. has been identified by Jacksonville police as a 30-year-old transient.

Jason Tyler Pelishek was found at 7:45 a.m. behind a PODS storage container only a block from the Sheriff's Office headquarters. Police said he had injuries on his body that led them to call his death a homicide.

MAN FOUND DEAD IN CREEK LIVED ON BOAT

The body of a man found Monday morning floating in Julington Creek off the Florida 13 bridge has been identified as John Edward Sadler, 46.

Police said foul play was not suspected. Sadler lived on a boat docked at the Mandarin Holiday Marina nearby.

NO LOWER BAIL FOR MOM OF CRISTIAN FERNANDEZ

Biannela Susana, the mother of 13-year-old Jacksonville murder defendant Cristian Fernandez, was denied a reduction of her bail Wednesday while awaiting sentencing in the death of her 2-year-old son.

Susana's attorneys asked Circuit Judge James Daniel to lower her $1 million bail to $50,000 since she had no prior arrest record before being charged with aggravated manslaughter in the death of David Galarraga. …
