Coutts Crossing trainer Gary Smith has been well known in recent years via the exploits of his Orara named greyhounds and punters will be keeping a close eye on Orara Bella as she looks mighty hard to beat in the opening race of the Grafton Greyhound race meeting this afternoon.

While it is fair to say this Collision x Sweet Elite litter have a long way to go to emulate the feats of the previous all conquering Bond x Sweet Elite litter there are some handy performers and Orara Bella should go close to racking up another victory in the stakes.

Orara Bella has been racing consistently in her short career to date resulting in 2 wins and 2 placings from just 4 starts including one at Albion park in Brisbane. Orara Bella possesses good early speed and she should go close to leading along with the speedy Echo Lad however that runner tends to race up the track a little so she should have no trouble holding the rails on the turn and that is likely to be a winning position. Bella can run around the 23.25 second mark and that should be fast enough to win this event.

Len and Evelyn Harris have been regular visitors to the Grafton July Carnival for many years but earlier this year they decided to make Grafton their home and they are currently in the process of setting up an elite greyhound training property. Until that is complete the likable pair will be travelling between Grafton and Wyong on a regular basis.

With all that effort I am sure the training duo would love to snare a few winners and hot Bonus looks capable of doing exactly that in the Clarence Valley Sheds maiden over 407m.

Hot Bonus didn't set the world alight in his first few starts but with the benefit of racing he showed good improvement last week when running a very creditable second to Orara Maree in the Betfair Blue Paws maiden final. …
