FOR CRAIG Larsen the Bruce Lee-inspired karate phase of the '70s was much more than just a fad.

It inspired Craig to take up martial arts, a move that has in many ways defined his life.

Today Craig said he can't imagine life without it.

aFor me training is as much a part of my life as breathing,a he said.

Craig's journey into the world of martial arts really took off when he met the founder of the Zen Do Kai discipline and martial arts ledgend, Bob Jones. In the '70s, Craig decided to live and work with Bob full time.

The training he gained over a number of years made him one of the country's most prized security personnel and best martial artists.

Working as a body guard for celebrities including Michael Hutchence, David Copperfield and Jimmy Barnes, Craig has travelled the world.

aTaking up martial arts is the best decision I have ever made,a Craig said.
