THERE has been some great scoring in the past week.

The week started with Delys Warner winning the ladies 9 hole competition on Monday.

Gary Hay had a fine round for 40 points to win the vets competition by 1 stroke from Kerry Molloy.

This was followed by Bev Stone with 25 points for 9 holes to win the Lenard's Chook Run on Friday.

Peter Jenkins won the Saturday stableford with a fine 46 points and David Doyle won the Sunday stroke event with 68 net.

The course has dried out and players are now enjoying lush fairways and good greens.

Some pin placings over the last week have been quite interesting but the scores don't indicate this.

This week the veterans will play a stableford on Wednesday with the Lenard's Hinkler Place Chook Run to be played on Friday on the back 9.

Saturday will be a Par event and Sunday will be a Stroke competition for the trophy donated by Zac's Meats.

Members have now been managing the Oakwood Park Golf club for some seven weeks and all looks great for the future. …
