KAREN Peters' busy mind is always mulling over new ideas.

The aquatic co-ordinator for WIRAC is always thinking of new ideas to get everyone involved in some form of sport, whether they are able bodied or otherwise.

On the eve of Disability Action Week, WIRAC is hard at work putting the finishing touches to the week's events, which will include a fun day and expo, swimming classes and workshops.

Last year Mrs Peters together with Swimming Queensland organised an Aquatic Participation Day with more than 70 participants.

C[pounds sterling]Last year was a very successful day, with everyone getting involved,C[yen] Mrs Peters said.

This year the event will be held next Friday, September 7.

C[pounds sterling]The day will be a similar format, with a fully supervised four-hour session broken into two parts,C[yen] Mrs Peters said.
