FOR the first time this season Northern Storm's season goes on the line.

The Storm faces a daunting do-or-die preliminary final clash with Urunga at Korora on Sunday playing for a chance at grand final glory. Finishing the season in top spot, the Korora-based side has been the team to beat however a narrow 2-1 loss last week to Coffs United sees them desperately needing a win to keep their season alive.

aIt was disappointing to go down to the Lions last week however we get another chance and we need to take advantage,a Storm coach Jade Porter said.

aWe have shown throughout the season the sort of football the side can play and it will take nothing less than our best on Sunday.a

Porter is faced with an ill-timed injury crisis with a number of the club's stars facing a week on the sidelines.

aIt has been a solid week at training but I am going to struggle to name a side for the match with so many of the boys injured,a he said.

aIt is not ideal to be without players like Lee Winkler and Grant Scully who are currently fighting to be fit but hopefully the youth players I call on can do a job. …
