GYMPIE mum Lesley Carlson lost her cherished son Brad Garard in a horrific accident at the Matilda Service Station intersection with the Bruce Hwy in 2010.

Brad was just 19 years old.

Lesley's Jack Russell, Sammy, was eight months old when Brad died and quickly became the grieving mother's atherapy doga, helping her make it through the toughest time of her life.

Last Wednesday, Sammy went missing from the corner of Traveston Crossing Rd and the highway.

Such is his family's desperate quest to get him back that a $500 reward has been offered and a Find Sammy JRT Facebook page set up.
