AS PART of a nationwide series of high-profile literary events, Gympie Regional Libraries are offering readers the chance to meet one of Australia's biggest selling authors, Peter Watt, widely known as Australia's ahome-grown Wilbur Smitha.

He will be the special guest at Gympie Library on Wednesday, October 3, 3.30pm, as he travels the country in his role as ambassador for both the National Year of Reading 2012 and the Australia-wide Get Reading! celebrations.
