TOOWOOMBA cabbie Stewart Dorman's memories of his favourite customers can bring a tear to his eye while his worst fares can force a shiver down his spine.

A well-mannered Scottish lady who said C[pounds sterling]cheery-byeC[yen] every time he dropped her off fell into the first category.

The lout who threw a rock at his co-driver while on a fare in Toowoomba earlier this month fitted into the latter category.

C[pounds sterling]It usually happens to you when you are driving along,C[yen] Mr Dorman said.

He said the last time he had a rock thrown at his car when he was driving was on Stenner St about two years ago.

C[pounds sterling]It's like a shotgun going off.

His current cab has had a hole in its rear quarter panel window since the October 5 incident.
