HEGVOLD TO ROCK IN WNBL BATTLE; Logan Plays Dandenong in Women's National League Clash

BASKETBALL: Hegvold Stadium will rock tonight as Rockhampton Basketball hosts the round-five Womens National Basketball League match between Logan and Dandenong.

With the Queensland Basketball League in off-season, we won't see our favourite Rockhampton Rockets or Cyclones run out onto the court at Hegvold tonight.

Running out instead will be two of the best teams Australian Basketball has to offer.

Logan Thunder general manager Phil Binder said the teams were excited about bringing the WNBL to Rockhampton, a club which has such a strong support base for the sport.

C[pounds sterling]Equally, bringing up the defending champions will showcase the best of what our sport has to offer to the fans,C[yen] Binder said.

Dandenong will be without centre Krista Phillips tonight after she went down heavily in the third quarter of last Friday night's game against Townsville clutching her knee in obvious agony. …
