Stenhousemuir................................ 1 Berwick Rangers ............................. 1 BERWICK Rangers boss Ian Little admitted he was "disappointed" not to have killed off Second Division Stenhousemuir at the first attempt to progress to the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.

"They were there for the taking, there's no doubt about that," said Little, whose battling Borderers now face a replay at Shielfield Park a week tomorrow.

"We created plenty of chances and that in itself was pleasing but it was a case of the same old story - we just could not bury them.

"We should have won the tie but the fact remains we are still in the cup and now we have to try and finish the job next week on our own patch.

"Overall I thought we were the better side and we had by far the better of the opening half, although Stenny looked dangerous early on."

Rangers' shotstopper Youssef Bejaoui denied John Gemmell and then Jamie 0'Grady as the hosts pushed for an early advantage, but the visitors hit back and Robbie Thomson saved from Stevie Notman before Fraser McLaren went close. …
