Trio Unleashes Its Post-Punk on Rocky Fans in Maiden Gig

BLASTING alternative rock and post-punk sounds, Brisbane's Young Griffo is keyed up to support British India at O'Dowd's Irish Tavern tomorrow night.

The band, formed in 2010, consists of an ambitious group of three a Paul Craig (guitar and vocals), Matt Gilroy (bass) and Todd Orchard (drums).

Todd said the three were looking forward to playing for a new audience outside of Brisbane.

aWe're looking forward to trying out our new songs on a new audience,a he said.

aAnd sharing the stage with British India, who in our opinion are one of the best bands kicking around Australia at the moment.a

After the release of their single, Pennies, in 2011, which reached number-one spot on the Triple J Unearthed Indie charts, Young Griffo is proud to add a new 2012 single, Cutting Sails, to its list of accomplishments.

aWe recorded the album early in the year,a Todd said.

aAnd we hooked up a video with Xander at the same time.a

Todd said the band's music was inspired by life's ups and downs. …
