IT'S the bible which fashionistas use as their guide to what's hot and what's not.

And now Vogue has named four stores from the North East in their Best 100 shops outside London awards.

Attica, Havetolove, RE and Jules B represent the peak of the region's shopping, according to the list.

RE in Corbridge was set up in 2003 and is the brainchild of owners Jenny Vaughan and Simon Young. They wanted to create a shop where every product was ecologically sound.

True to their word, the origin of the wooden decorations, vintage garden tools, and enamelled tin mugs can all be vouched for.

Simon said: "Vogue have featured our products several times over the years.

"It's so good that they are recognising the talent outside of London."

Attica, off High Bridge in Newcastle, was started in 1983 and sells vintage clothing from the Victorian era through to the 1980s, as well as furniture from the 1950s through to the 1970s. …
