Keys Set to Hit Right Note with a Visit to Tyneside

AWARD-WINNING singer Alicia Keys is coming to perform in the North East for the very first time.

It has been three years since the American singer, songwriter, and producer has toured the UK - and this time she's heading to Tyneside, to grace the stage of Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena next May.

The 31-year-old, whose real name is Alicia Augello Cook has won 14 Grammy Awards as well as a host of other gongs since 2001.

And she'll set fans alight with her fifth studio album - Girl On Fire - which she'll showcase at the arena on Sunday, May 19.

Tickets are expected to go on sale this Friday, but the date is yet to be confirmed by the tour bosses.

The titular track, which already features Nicki Minaj, is being played on BBC Radio 1, ahead of the album's release next Monday.

Ahead of the release of tickets, the Manhattan-born performer spoke of her excitement at returning to the UK to showcase her new tracks.
