THE WBBC derby in the United Under-10 League between the Blacks and United finished 2-2. United tried to play the ball out from the back and were caught out by the pace of Dan Rawlinson, whose left-foot shot nestled in the net.

United hit back just before half-time when a fierce drive by Ben Guneygulleri was parried by the goalkeeper into the path of Lucas Hildreth, who tucked away the follow-up.

In the second period, the Blacks took the lead again with a clinical finish from Owen Kennedy.

Both goalkeepers then pulled off great saves, but in the final quarter of the match United were awarded a disputed corner from which Leon Kilbane scored.

Newcastle East End Blues kept up the pressure at the top with a 4-2 success over KYPC Wolves Blues.

Callum Macbeth hit a superb hat-trick and Ben Macmillan-Whitfield added the other.

Wolves Blues netted through James Duncan and Ben Macdonald.
