THERE is never a good time to play Manchester United, but if Alan Pardew could choose when to take on Fergie's men, right about now would not be a bad choice.

Newcastle don't have a bad record against the Red Devils at home, and performing in this fixture in front of the Sky cameras seems to put an extra spring in the step of the Toon players.

Both of these teams could have problems in defence with doubts over Steven Taylor and Fabricio Coloccini for the home side, Vidic and Jones definitely missing with Smalling doubtful and Evans 50/50 for the away side.

So we could be looking at a goal bonanza tomorrow afternoon.

A 3-2 home victory pays 33/1, while the same scoreline for the away side pays 25/1. You don't seem to be able to tell these days whether the United half of Manchester are going to turn up and perform for a full 90 minutes, so why not look at them to edge it early on and be leading at half-time, and for the Toon to come back and win it at full time at 28/1. …
