AFTER a mammoth operation transporting 190 dairy cows from Dalrymple Heights to the Rockhampton saleyards, Ben Fredrickson is feeling relieved.

The sale of the cows on Monday brought two generations and more than 60 years of dairying on Dalrymple Heights to an end for the Fredrickson family.

Mr Fredrickson said despite concerns for the cows' welfare, the move went off without a hitch.

C[pounds sterling]We trucked them down on Sunday afternoon to Finch Hatton and loaded them on to B-double trucks and brought them to Rockhampton,C[yen] Mr Fredrickson said.
