Metgasco Claims Protester Threatened Workers Again

METGASCO claims the anti-CSG protester who threatened to shoot one of the company's workers on Tuesday trespassed onto the Glenugie test site about 10am yesterday and threatened staff with a plastic fence block.

A spokesman for Metgasco said the company had video footage of the incident which it would turn over to Grafton police as part of legal action it was taking against the man in question.

aHe walked towards workers, holding one of the security fence bases and muttering incoherently under his breath,a the spokesman said.

aHe then threw the fence base over the property's fence and onto the nearby road.a

The spokesman reiterated yesterday's call for the protester to be expelled from the anti-CSG protest movement.

aIf the protesters are serious about having a peaceful protest this man should be expelled from their organisation,a he said.

Spokeswoman for the Clarence Valley Alliance against CSG, Denise Deane, said protesters were encouraged to take part in non-violent direct action train- ing. …
