Tournament Is One to Savour

THE 2015 Rugby World Cup draw was made this week, and there was even some early talk of the England-Wales game being played in Cardiff.

That seems to be dying down a bit in the days since, and regardless of your feelings on the rights or wrongs of that, I am sure most people would agree it would be a fantastic occasion.

There will be a huge amount riding on the result, and rather than worrying about where the game should be played, my take on it is that you should be good enough to win no matter what the weather is like, what venue you are in or who the referee is.

You can't have any excuses at the very top level, and England have got to be big enough and strong enough to say we will take you on anytime, anywhere, and do the job accordingly.

That is, of course, not forgetting the fact we have also got to play an Australia side with some very fine players, and that will be a major challenge. …
