Two on drugs charges after RBT

A VAN driver pulled over for a random breath test was later charged with being under the influence of drugs.

The 24-year-old was stopped by police on the Esplanade at Urangan on Monday.

A passenger in the vehicle was also caught with a bag of speed, police will allege.

Both will face court.

Drink, necklace stolen from car

A CAN of Pepsi, a homemade shark fin necklace and an infrared USB cord were among the bizarre items allegedly stolen from a car in a Hervey Bay holding yard.

Police said the red Ford Falcon was involved in a traffic crash on Friday, December 7, and towed to a local holding yard for the weekend.

But when the owner returned to collect their belongings on Monday, they allegedly found the items, along with numerous CDs and an Alpine car stereo, missing.

Police are investigating the theft and have asked anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
