Football Ground Walker at St James'

A FOOTBALL fan is walking to all 92 English league grounds to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.

Scott Mclachlan began his journey from Portsmouth four months ago and will visit St James' Park today as a guest of the Newcastle United supporters trust.

The 44-year-old has already walked over 1,000 miles and visited more than 40 clubs, but is only halfway through his journey, which finishes at Brighton in April.

Scott, who is on the board for Portsmouth FC's Pompey Trust, said: "I decided that I would take this opportunity in my life to do something I could be very proud of. Late in 2011, I was thinking about which resolutions I could make to really make 2012 a year that would personally improve my life.

"It was when I thought about how to get fit that my mind turned to perhaps doing something amazing."

While part of the motivation was to do something to change his life, it's changing the lives of others that is Scott's main aim. …
