WORLD'S STRONGEST MAN 2012: QUALIFIERS Channel 5, 8pm Once upon a time, Britain's main contestant in the tournament was the mighty, household name Geoff Capes. These days, it's rather different, and chances are the Brits involved are unknown to all but a select few. Mark Felix and Darren Sadler are, however, veteran performers on the biggest stage. This programme sees them battling to qualify for the competition proper, and Blackburn plasterer Felix's challenge may be over before it's begun thanks to bicep and leg injuries.
ADAM HILLS STANDS UP LIVE Channel 4, 10pm Anyone who followed the London 2012 Paralympics earlier this year will no doubt already be familiar with Aussie stand-up Adam Hills, thanks to his fabulous comedy show which acted as a humorous companion to the Games, The Last Leg. On that show, Adam - who himself has a prosthetic leg - did wonders for the public perception of disabilities in general by daring to poke fun at subjects often considered taboo by many. Here, he gets back to his comedy roots in a full-length stand-up performance recorded live at The Lyric Theatre in London's West End, featuring some of his finest material. …
