In a Class of Their Own; UP: St Josepha[euro][TM]s HSC Scores Increase Dramatically

THE students of St Josephas College at Banora Point have done their principal Eric Littler proud and given the school some of the best HSC results in the region.

Mr Littler said the school had significantly improved its results this year with 12 out of 74 students achieving a ATAR score of 90 or higher.

aAlex Bygott, Jarrad Swain and Louis Monaghan received 90 or higher in at least five subjects,a Mr Littler said.

Louis Monaghan also achieved the highest ATAR score of 98.7, while Alex Bygott wasnat far behind with a score of 97.45.

At Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School, principal Chris Duncan was equally happy with his studentsa results.

aOf particular interest is the large number of Year 12 students (50 out of 74) who received early entry to university,a Mr Duncan said.

Mr Duncan was especially pleased with the result produced by up and coming pianist Ayesha Gough, who received the top mark of 100 % in music extension. …
