FIRST-SEASON coaches sometimes struggle with the pressure of leading a team and Bargara FC mentor Josh Bacon found out just how severe it could be in round 1 of 2012.

Before the season started he lost five players to injury including his starting keeper, Dave Campbell, for the season.

So this year he is hoping for a better run of luck.

At times, with players unavailable due to work and injury, he had the bare 11 to start a game, and Bacon said because of that the bond is stronger than ever and he had higher goals for this season.
