BARGAINS galore will be on offer when the Mackay Showgrounds Flea Market opens its doors at a new location this weekend.

Market manager Victor Fenech said stalls would move into a newly built pavilion at the showgrounds on Saturday morning and would open to the public, and early birds, at 6.30am.

C[pounds sterling]The market was held at the old showgrounds building for a while but theyCOre pulling that one down so weCOre moving to this great, new shed,C[yen] Mr Fenech said.

C[pounds sterling]WeCOll have 2000sqm of undercover space and thereCOs another 2000sqm area for functions.C[yen]

Mr Fenech said the shed offered plenty of room for 120 stalls and encouraged Mackay businesses to consider selling their wares at the weekly market.

C[pounds sterling]We have about 65 stalls at the moment and the farmersCO market as well.C[yen]

Mr Fenech expects 500 to 600 people on Saturday morning, many looking for bargains at the farmersCO market. …
