Learning Hub Will Boost Engineering

ENGINEERING education in regional Queensland will be boosted by a partnership between the University of Southern Queensland and the University of the Sunshine Coast.

USQ will assist the USC to optimise the use of the new Engineering Learning Hub at the Sunshine CoastCOs Sippy Downs region by enhancing pathways to engineering in the region.

The Engineering Learning Hub was made possible through the Federal GovernmentCOs Education Investment Fund. The project will see $30 million committed by the Federal Government.

USQ and USC will jointly offer civil and mechanical engineering opportunities and assist the University of Sunshine Coast establish its engineering programs at the hub.

Professor Frank Bullen, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Surveying at the University of Southern Queensland, was enthusiastic to enhance the engineering opportunities for students.
