They Call Me Bruce; Where Are They Now?

BRUCE was a truckieas mate until the company did not allow him to travel any longer. He wasnat good on his own and his owner had no one to look after him so regretfully he had to come to Happy Paws.

Bruceas owner had family here in Grafton and had heard of Happy Paws Haven and its reputation of being a[approximately]no killa, while at the same time fussy about the dogs and cats it agrees to take in.

He knew he was coming through to Grafton so got a family member to see if we could take him. A few days later he arrived with all the paperwork to hand Bruce in. He is a wonderful blue heeler cattle dog who is almost two and is great with kids and other dogs.

He integrated very quickly and got on easily with any dog we introduced him to.

After advertising Bruce we received one of many phone calls but one was a little different.

Shirley loved cattle dogs especially blue heelers. She and her husband lived on a property near Coledale. They were looking for a companion dog and they had lost their last one to old age. …
