AUSTRALIAN Country XI was outclassed by the Bulls Invitational XI in the feature match of the Australian Country Cricket Championships but the result was the most distant thing from one playerCOs mind.

Country won the toss and batted making 8-116, the Bulls easily accounted for the tally inside 14 overs with the score at 2-120.

But as far as BundabergCOs Josh Mclean was concerned the game was one of the best of his life.

Mclean experienced extremes of emotion before and during the game.

When the Country XI was selected Friday night Mclean missed making back-to-back national teams to make way for New South Wales-based wicketkeeper Tom Groth. …
