THIS is what serial yob Michael Barrass did to a lad of 16.

The boy had an anxious wait to find out if he'd been infected after being mauled by Barrass who he bumped into at a bowling alley.

Barrass and a crony launched the attack on the victim and a pal which ended with Barrass sinking his teeth into his cheeks.

The youngster then faced a three-month wait to find out if he had contracted Hepatitis B. Now Barrass has been jailed for 16 months after admitting assault.

But the teen's mum attacked the sentence and said: "It's a total disgrace. It won't teach him anything, he won't be bothered." Locking him up at Newcastle Crown Court, Judge David Wood said: "It was an unpleasant bullying kind of offence where you picked a fight with him, punched him then bit him to the cheek."

His victim had been playing pool at the Megabowl, in Benton, North Tyneside, with two friends and when they came out they were approached by Barrass and another man and asked a racist question. …
