CRACKSHOT Kiwi Chris Wood expects wounded Boro to come out fighting at the King Power Stadium.

The New Zealand striker has scored six goals in three games since moving to Leicester from West Brom, including three in Saturday's 4-0 thumping of Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

There will be a nice little subtext to Wood's anticipated appearance against Boro because it was Tony Mowbray who gave the 21-year-old international his big break in English football four years ago when he was in charge at the Hawthorns.

Wood was a talented but raw teenager when he arrived in this country for a trial with the Baggies, eventually earning a long-term contract.

Wood, who scored 11 goals in 19 games for Millwall during a successful loan spell earlier this season, believes Saturday's home defeat to Watford will make Boro doubly determined to get a result at Leicester in front of the Sky cameras tomorrow night.
