AFTER 23 years as a rugby league player and a coach at the Murwill-umbah Mustangs, Troy McLean decided it was time for a change.

McLean planned to take 12 months off before the Casino Cougars made him offer.

They came to an agreement last week and the club signed the 2012 Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League premiership-winning coach on Thursday.

McLeanCOs young daughter has already vowed to keep supporting the Mustangs despite her dadCOs decision.

He lives at Uki, 14km west of Murwillumbah, and will coach a side that plays most of its games at places like Grafton, Maclean, Evans Head, Casino and Kyogle.

McLean hasnCOt had a training session at the club yet but he is already thinking beyond this year. …
