THE Old Raby Hunt Club meeting takes place at Witton Castle on Sunday - having been postponed last weekend because of the snow.

The six-race card has attracted 83 entries, and racing starts at noon with the Old Raby Hunt Club Members Maiden Conditions Race.

Three entries come from Chris Dawson's Nunstainton Stud yard and he is very capable of getting a horse ready first time out.

However the race could go the way of Willofhisown, for Gillian Lee, who was third on his seasonal debut at Sheriff Hutton two weeks ago.

Connolly's Red Mills are continuing their sponsorship of the Intermediate series and this is one of 20 qualifiers to take place across the country. The first four horses home qualify for the final at Cheltenham, as does the winner of every other Intermediate race.

This is likely to be a close run race between Mister Splodge who was a winner at Sheriff Hutton and Adin Abroad who will have come on from her run at the same venue. …
