I AM trying to trace my maternal grandfather John William Wilson born February 19, 1900, died May 1934, at the General Hospital Westgate Road, Newcastle. He had five siblings, something his two surviving daughters, my mother and aunt, never knew. I want to help my mother, 83, and her sister, find the missing links as both parents died and the four children were split among their mother's family and did not keep in touch with the father's family. John William Wilson was son of John James Hardy Wilson, born 1870, and Jane Ann Gibson Snowdon, born 1874.

John James Hardy Wilson (my great-grandfather), son of James Wilson and Mary Ann McKay. The 1881 census lists them at 26 Liverpool Street.

Also Sister Emma Jane, William and Ellen Hardy ... is this where the "Hardy" comes from? Jane Ann Gibson Snowdon (my great grandmother) daughter of Joseph Snowdon, born 1853, Gateshead, and Jane Gibson, born 1852, Berwick.

My grandfather John William Wilson (known as Jack) served in WW1 in France and Belgium. …
