Cops Have Spoken to Missing Danielle; Contact Believed to Have Been Made a Week after Disappearance

POLICE searching for missing Danielle Wright are believed to have spoken to the mum of two who hasn't been seen for a week.

But the Chronicle understands that while officers from Northumbria Police have spoken to the 22-year-old who went missing with her two young children, they have yet to actually locate her.

Danielle disappeared from her home on Tyneside a week ago, which was when she last spoke to her family.

The mum-of-two, from Benwell, Newcastle, vanished with her daughters, aged one and five, and it is believed that she hadn't made contact with anyone until yesterday. Police initially believed she may have still been in the Newcastle area and said that she has links with both the east and west end of the city.

But it is not known at this stage where she was when police made contact with her.

Neighbours of Miss Wright, who lived on Canning Street, in Benwell, said they had not seen the young mum for a while.

One female resident said: "We smile and say hello if we see her, but we don't know her by name or to talk to. …
