LONDON manager and promoter Spencer Fearon has mapped out a flying start to Lewis Scott's professional career.

The former Newbiggin amateur, a 19-year-old light middleweight, is going through the paperwork and medical tests before launching his pro debut on home soil, probably in late March.

Fearon said: "Lewis is a proper boxer and I want him out every eight weeks to pick up as much experience as he can.

"It is an honour to work with Lewis, his dad Paul and uncle Keith.

"If you are around greatness then you pick up on it and there is plenty of quality in my gym.

"Not just my fighters but people like Jimmy Tibbs, who worked with Terry Lawless and did the corner for Frank Bruno, Jim Watt, and Maurice Hope."

Fearon is a good friend of former world cruiser champion Glenn McCrory who he calls "a diamond guy."

"I used to be a bit of impressionist," smiled Spencer.

"I was seen as a funny guy and Glenn never stopped mentioning me on Sky Television. …
