GOLF: Little MountainCOs Sarah Jane Smith is well in the hunt at the Australian WomenCOs Open after a strong second-round effort at Canberra yesterday.

After an opening round of six-under-par 67 on Thursday, the 28-year-old carded a three-under-par 70 to move to eight under and a share of sixth place.

Smith is intent on being a contender at the $1.2 million event, which has attracted nine of the worldCOs top 20 players.
