JEWELLERY and a number of electrical items were stolen during a burglary in Cramlington.

Burglars broke into a house in Selby Close and stole a number of electrical items and jewellery between 8.45am and 4.50pm on Monday.

Among the items taken were - an 18 carat gold dolphin-shaped pendant encrusted with 27 blue sapphires and 16 diamonds, a gold herringbone men's bracelet, a black iPad, a black Fujitsu laptop, a black NC10 netbook, an 18 carat gold belcher chain, a black iPod touch, a heart-shaped onyx ring, a white and pink Baby G watch, a gold oval-shaped onyx ring, a gold cladagh ring, pieces of costume jewellery and an amount of cash. Inquiries into the burglary are ongoing, and police are appealing for anyone with any information into the incident, or the whereabouts of the stolen items to contact police.

Cramlington Neighbourhood Inspector Trevor Oakley said: "A large amount of jewellery was taken in the burglary, and we are making enquiries to try and locate the stolen items and the people responsible. …
