When police took the disturbing call from accused murderer Ronald Michael Craig, 48, the officer knew ait was something seriousa.

aI was just keeping him on the line, trying to keep him calm,a Senior Constable Carl Robinson told an Ipswich court.

aWhen he said Iave killed Kylie,

I said wait there, wead come and get him.

aHe said no worries, Iam not going anywhere.a

Craig stands charged with murder after his de facto, Kylie Hitchen, 35, was found dead in her Esk house in January 2011.

The committal hearing into her murder has seen about 25 witnesses give evidence in Ipswich Magistrates Court this week.

Yesterday Dr Kathryn Uranker, who performed the autopsy on the slain woman, said the victim had received a clean, swift incision to her throat, which almost severed her spinal cord.
