NEWCASTLE should look at the rest of the season and be thinking that a top-10 slot is still very much up for grabs.

I look at the fixtures and the trip to Manchester City is the only game they should be fearful of.

I think they can pick up their fair share of points from the rest.

I'd hate to see Newcastle end up as what I call a "teapot" team, though. After all, who wants to be stuck in the middle of the table? I always think that the home games at St James' should offer the best chance to take three points and if United win 75% of them then they should do well.

This season that hasn't been the case with Reading, Swansea, West Ham and Everton all leaving with maximum hauls.

Now, though, I'd be disappointed if they didn't get at least top 10.

I know there has been talk of relegation battles this year, but I honestly think that is behind us now. …
