CALIFORNIA duo DEAP VALLY are bringing their dirty blues sound to a Teesside club night this weekend.

The female two-piece have been hotly tipped to make a big impression on the music world in 2013.

Made up of Lindsey Troy and Julie Edwards, the two came together in 2011 and bonded over a shared love of the blues.

Together their sound has been described as a "scuzzy White Stripes meets Led Zeppelin rock 'n' roll duo".

They first hit Britain in 2012 when they played at the Latitude and Reading festivals and also played under Iggy Pop in Hyde Park, London.

It was also last year when in July they released debut single Gonna Make My Own Money to plaudits in both their US home and the UK.

Subsequently the duo signed to Island Records and put out the acclaimed follow-up End Of The World. The record was immediately made Zane Lowe's 'hottest record on the planet' on his Radio 1 show.

Lindsey and Julie then played out the year making new friends by supporting the likes of The Vaccines and Muse. …
