Anne JudellCOs Breath triptych, part of the Dobell Prize retrospective now showing at the Grafton Regional Gallery.

THE fabulous exhibition from the Art Gallery of New South Wales is virtually a twin of our national drawing award, the Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award. Contemporary Australian Drawing: 20 Years of the Dobell Prize for Drawing features winning drawings and other works acquired throughout the history of the prize held at the Art Gallery of NSW.

The Prize was held from 1993 until 2012. This historical and significant exhibition includes drawings by David Fairbairn, Judy Cassab, Wendy Sharpe and the inaugural winner Kevin Connor. Gareth SansomCOs Made in Wadeye Co which won last yearCOs and therefore the last award Co is included in the exhibition. Seven of our collection artists, David Fairbairn, Judy Cassab, Suzanne Archer, Godwin Bradbeer, Rachel Ellis, Joe Furlonger and Anne Judell, have their winning drawing on show. Our gallery is a perfect hose for the exhibition with the JADA which has run from 1988. Both JADA and Dobell Prize showcase Australian drawing on the national stage. Allow some time to enjoy this rich display of the best in Australia.

JADA at the University
