WELL I didnCOt know that.

Actually I didnCOt know him either.

Which is not surprising seeing he was born in AD 385.

The cove is pretty famous though as they even name a day after him.

Of course ICOm referring to Saint Patrick a name associated the world over as being C[pounds sterling]theC[yen] patron saint of Ireland.

ItCOs St PatrickCOs Day on Sunday Co March 17, but in Rockhampton it is tomorrow SATURDAY and at Springsure on Saturday, March 23.

ThatCOs because St Patrick was so famous he has race clubs named after him throughout Australia and traditionally they race on Saturdays in March.

Naturally being of strong Irish stock, the members of the individual St PatrickCOs race clubCOs wonCOt tolerate race dates clashing.

ThatCOs not like the Irish Co they donCOt clash over anything do they?

Quite frankly I think it is just another excuse for them all to get on the drink on dual occasions.

Talk about drink, in Ireland special dispensation is given to allow drinking alcohol and pigging-out on St PatCOs Day despite it being held during the Catholic fasting period of Lent. …
