FANS of Elvis Presley can relive the songs and dance moves of aThe Kinga at Elvis to the Max in Ipswich on Friday, April 19.

The real Elvis Presley died 35 years ago, but his legend lives on in concert shows presented by impersonator Max Pellicano.

The acclaimed impersonator, from the United States, said he first discovered his love of Elvis and talent for acting like him when he was 19 years old.

aI used to work in these rock bands and ... wead throw in a couple of Elvis songs and that evolved into putting on a costume and getting Elvis requests,a Pellicano said.

aThen I was in a musical and had to study Elvis and I studied it hard and I had to get the accent down a the singing and the talking a and I think my parents got annoyed because I was doing it for three months.a

Pellicano now has decades of experience impersonating Elvis under his belt, and has entertained Australia for more than 20 years with his act. …
