Community fishing day

MACKAY Recreational Fishing Alliance Inc., in partnership with Tackle World Mackay, is hosting a free community fishing day at Shoal Point tomorrow.

The concept is for families to have some good old-fashioned values time with their children, said spokesman Glenn Fahy.

Participants are requested to bring bait, protective clothing, cold drinks etc. Registration will commence at 9am, and the event will conclude about 1pm with a complimentary sausage sizzle and random prize draw of fishing rod combos and cast nets.
