TRAVELS With My Aunt has enjoyed a hugely successful season at Noosa Arts Theatre, and with good reason: it is a very well put together production.

Director Liza Park deserves much praise for her clever direction of this beautifully written play based on the novel by Grahame Greene.

It would have been easy to have taken an over-the-top, heavy- handed approach but she didnat, and the production is all the better for it.

The four actors a Steven Tandy, Stephen Moore, Frank Wilkie and Callum Hamacek a work very hard, non-stop, playing all 25 roles between them, switching with ease from one to the other.

NIDA-trained Tandy was fabulous to watch, as the eccentric Aunt Augusta, showing why heas one of Australiaas top actors.

And Tandy adds that athis is easily one of the most demanding roles I have ever taken ona.

Moore and Wilkie are great, too, as they swap from a 15-year-old girl, to an English gentleman, to an American CIA agent, and then to a negro, and back again, often in a split second. …
