Mowbray Left Frustrated as Boro Draw a Blank

TONY MOWBRAY admitted he was "disappointed and frustrated" as Middlesbrough failed to make a breakthrough in a goalless draw with lowly Peterborough at the Riverside. Boro had the best of what chances there were in last night's largely listless encounter which saw neither side commit too much going forward.

The result halted Boro's four-match losing streak but still leaves Mowbray's side six points adrift of the top six in the npower Championship, where they had resided for much of the season until recently.

Mowbray said: "There were a lot of positives but ultimately we are disappointed and frustrated because we did not win a game we dominated.

"The positives? A clean sheet which we have not managed in a while, some good passing football, good individual displays and we created a lot of chances.

"Yet we come away frustrated because that was a match we feel we could have won if only we had converted one or more of those chances and we could have kickstarted our season. …
