Cutters Want to Make Home-Field Advantage Count

RUGBY LEAGUE: The Skills Training Mackay Cutters want to make Virgin Australia Stadium their afortressa and aim to start the building process tonight against close rival East Tigers.

The Cutters and the Tigers have met 10 times in the Intrust Super Cup competition and the score is 5-all but at Mackay the Tigers pip them 3-2.

Itas a tight rivalry, with both teams also averaging 22 points against each other too.

aIt doesnat get much closer than that,a coach Kim Williams said .

A lot of defensive drills and set pieces were practised earlier in the week to try and curtail some of the weaknesses evident this early in the season.

aMost of the work was done in the ruck area but we also got beaten down the short side a couple of times last week so we want to fix that,a Williams said. …
