Entrants in a design competition for a new feature window for the former Anglican church at Federal would do well to keep Shakespeareas quote in mind when coming up with a winning concept.

You see, the feature window not only has to look good, it also has to shed some light on a church that was built in the early 1900s and is not overly endowed with natural light.

It also has to fit in with one of the design competitionas themes of ashining a lighta on the community.

The design of a new window is seen as significant step forward for the Federal community, who all rallied to raise in excess of $200,000 to buy it from the Anglican Church last year.

It has already had some major electrical work done on the building and the roof is undergoing repair. The precinct that takes in the church and nearby hall has also been named aJasper Cornera. …
